"We have to play with confidence and pride"

Winterthur FC Barcelona will play their most decisive game of the season so far in Málaga on Thursday night when they take on Unicaja. "We have to have confidence and pride," said coach Dusko Ivanovic.

Looking to remain as one of the best four teams in Europe is the aim for both Barça and Unicaja and for that reason the encounter this week is sure to be a cracking encounter between two extremely strong teams. The game, which starts at 20:45 has already been billed as a final for both teams.

Clear ideas

The Barça trainer does not want his players to show any fear. "We must have the right idea, " he continued. "I just want the team to remain calm and enjoy the game."

Bouncing back

QM3D4813.jpgBarça cannot expect an easy time in Málaga, despite the fact that Unicaja return to European action following a defeat in the ACB League by Valladolid in their last game. "They are a team that always bounces back very strongly after losing," Ivanovic stated, before reflecting on the fact that his side have met Unicaja twice already in the past ten days. "We have, but that only makes us want to beat them again."

Defence is key
Michalis Kakiouzis believes that he knows the best way to ensure that Winterhur FC Barcelona earn themselves a place in the Final Four next month in Athens. “If we can play with a normal defence (against Unicaja) then, for me, that will give us the bet chance to win the game.”
