Ben-Amor is a player who is used to playing in the Asobal against Barça. But now FC Barcelona Borges is his team, his third in the Spanish championship, and he is a classy additional to the central zone of the Barça formation.
The Tunisian comes to Barcelona after spending seven years with Teka Cantabria (2001-08). He was
one of the key players in the Santander based side, regularly featuring among the top scorers. In
the 2007-08 he encountered dreadful news – his side was demoted from the top flight for
financial reasons. FC Barcelona Borges offered him the chance to return to the Asobal. He
originally came to Spain in the year 2000, having been spotted by Ciudad Real who signed him for a
year, after he had first made a name for himself among the ranks of Tunisian outfit Club African.
He has also played 101 times for his country, plus 50 other times at junior level.
Profile
Ben Amor is a attacking centre. He moves the ball around well and can be explosive down the
wings. There are few that can beat him in the two on two, and he is also powerful in one on one
situations, at shooting when marked and in playing a supporting role.
