FC Barcelona Cifec won their fifteenth ever handball trophy. Xesco Espar’s men proved to be the superior team throughout the entire competition.

The blaugrana were not favourites for the cup, however, Xesco Espar’s men played the near perfect competition—including a brilliant 26-32 victory over Ciudad Real in the quarter finals.

In the final, the opponents were Leon’s Ademar. The game was decided in the last few minutes of the first half—Ademar were up by I (9-10) when the blaugrana scored an incredible 8 without reply to take a lead of 17-10 into the break. Barça maintained the difference throughout the second period thanks to goalkeeper Venio Losert, chosen best goalkeeper of the final, and Iker Romero, best player of the final. Final score 33-27.
