A fond farewell
Three members of the FC Barcelona staff said their farewells on Thursday night as Henrik Larsson, Gabri and Henk ten Cate are all set to leave the club this summer. They will always be fondly remembered for their roles in the incredible success of this season and each one ensured his place in the history books by being photographed with the Champions League trophy. The squad also paid homage to each of them as they held them above their shoulders and walked around the stadium in another display of how united everyone at Barça is.

Party time at Camp Nou

Camp Nou was, once again, the scene of a huge party as FC Barcelona go from success to success. The players and supporters joined as one to enjoy a magical night as they celebrated winning the Champions League.

The stadium was rocking as everyone marked the completion of another dream. Thousands of fans turned out to see the players take to the field with the European Cup, which became adriving force behind the team's uncredible form this season as they aimed to at last prove that they are the best team in Europe. Everyone now believes that this is just the start.
With the doors to the arena opening at 7.15pm, the crowd were entertaind as several bands, including Macedonia, Frenètic, Cris Juanico, Rauxa, The Tropicals, Sabor de Gràcia, Ara Mateix, Elèctrica Dharma, Gossos and Laxo 'n' Busto. While the music played, the Barça players made their approach through the streets of the city.

Boardroom dancing

It was not only the supporters enjoying the evening, but also the club's directors. In the presidential box Joan Laporta led the board and many fmaily members in a dance during many of the catchiest tunes.

After the Academy Orchestra of the Liceo Theatre had brought the music to a close, a group of actors took the pitch and put on a performance.

On the big screens was the best moments of FC Barcelona throughout history with the skill of Diego Maradona, the goals of Rivaldo and the best of the Dream Team. The stadium cheered each time a goal went in.

When the video stopped, the players ran on to the field led by Juliano Belletti who went out first holding aloft the Champions League trophy. The Brazilian full-back was delighted with his reception as the supporters chanted his name as he became the club's newest hero after scoring the winning goal against Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Everyobody agreed that they want more and more nights like this one as Frank Rijkaard spoke to the crowd and said: "This team has not won its last trophy", before Carles Puyol announced "we are sligtly bigger now". Ronaldinho then praised the fans saying "thanks for all the support that everyone ahs given me throughout the season".
Away from individuals, the team spirit of Barça comes first. The party on the pitch ended with the whole squad huddling together and jumping up and done in celebration before running to all four sides of the pitch and diving headling across the glass in front of the adoring supporters.
