The first beneficiaries of this program are the boys and girls living in critical situations in the most disfavoured regions of the planet, victims of severe poverty, humanitarian crisis and child exploitation.
These children are continually living in situations of social exclusion, experiencing major vulnerability which causes the threat of chronic malnutrition, transmittable diseases like Aids, and a lack of opportunities to build a safe future.
For many of these children, life is reduced to little more than a fight for survival, where they are denied a childhood, a period of life that should be all about personal development, learning and play, as recognised by the “Convention on the Rights of the Child' of 1989.
