XICS Burkina Faso (Uagadugú)

  • Location and context
The centre is located in the capital of the country, Ouagadougou, in the popular neighbourhood of Bogodogo where families with little income live, and that has a high index of illiterate children and adults without any schooling.
  • Beneficiaries
The project plans provide an integral support to over 100 children among which are orphans and children "talibes" who live in the koranic schools.
  • Infrastructures and activities
Children have been grouped into classes according to their previous education and teaching has begun. Enrolled in the centre are children who have been affected by the terrible floods of 2009, street children and the ‘garibús’ (children from the Islamic Schools).
Computers have been installed in the centre, a great step forward for the young adults and children in the neighbourhood as they now have access to new technology.

    FABAO Espoir
    Solidarité Jeunes
  • Collaborating entities
