Next 20th, 21st, and 22nd of August, the FC Barcelona official Supporters Clubs have a very important event in Barcelona. During these days the Festa Barça will be held in the grounds of the Camp Nou. This year the festival will host the main events of the World Meeting of Supporters Clubs and the Supporters Club Congress, as well as the Football 7 Tournament.

The main events of the World Meeting of Supporters Clubs

To begin the warm up to Estrella Damm Joan Gamper Trophy match, a welcome dinner will be held on Saturday 20th of August in the area of the Festa Barça.

Next day, Sunday 21st of August, the 2011 Supporters Club Congress will begin, which this year will be held over two sessions. The first day is primarily a working day, in which will be presented the report on the analysis of supporters clubs movements, that the consultancy Adora has carried out during the 2010/2011 season. Following that, 2 separate presentations will outline the most important elements facing the supporters clubs, which have been worked upon throughout the season, together with the Supporters Clubs Advisory Council.

Once the speeches are over, a fantastic lunch awaits everybody. The lunch will take place in a privileged environment in the Palau Blaugrana, which will serve as the setting for sharing experiences, talking to Barça fans from around the world, and creating unforgettable memories.

In the afternoon, the finals of the Football 7 Tournament will take place. Anyone who wants to can go to the Miniestadi to encourage the kids and, who knows, maybe to discover future Barça stars in the making.

On the 22nd, grand party finale

On the next day, Sunday 22nd of August, we’ll continue with the most institutional day of the Supporters Club Congress. Mr. Jordi Cardoner i Casaus, Vice President of the Social Area of FC Barcelona, will be responsible for kicking-off a day full of emotions.

After Jordi Cardoner’s speech, Mr. Pau Vilanova, director in charge of the Social Area of FC Barcelona, will be responsible for presenting the season’s balance, with regard to Supporters Clubs.

Having done this, we’ll proceed to vote on the issues worked on during the presentations. Following the voting, we hope to count on the presence of Mr. Sandro Rosell, President of the Club, who’ll also address the attendees, and will be accompanied by some of the most outstanding players of FC Barcelona.

After the closing of the Supporters Congress, the day will end with a big gala dinner at the Palau de Congressos de Catalonia.

The Joan Gamper Estrella Damm Trophy match as the closing event

On Monday 22nd, after having enjoyed a wonderful meal, will be time to end the three-day Festa Barça with the maximum show of Barça support: a match at the Camp Nou. The Joan Gamper Estrella Damm Trophy awaits us and we can take advantage of the situation by really applauding our players.
