The PB Totana ends the events of its XIII anniversary

The Peña Barcelonista de Totana (Murcia) ended its XIII anniversary celebrations on Sunday December 26. There was a clear atmosphere of solidarity to mark the closure.

The PB Barcelonista de Totana (Murcia) ended its XIII anniversary celebrations on Sunday December 26 with a gala dinner. The previous days had been marked by efforts to support mentally disabled people and to promote intercultural sport.

On Saturday December 18, the PB Totana had held a day to promote coexistence among the children of different national origins that share the municipality. A meeting space was set up for the celebration of the traditional football tournament. At the end, the participants received gifts from the Sport and Mundo Deportivo newspapers. Juan Carrión, president of the PB Totana and also delegate for the Advisory Committee in the region of Murcia, gave thanks to the CAÑARMANTA, FAE, ATB and ADPSAI associations for their support, and also to the supporters club’s own volunteers and that of the local council, who had allowed use of their sports court and sound system.

Also in the days building up to Christmas, the PB Totana organized for the fifth year running a visit to the “José Moya Trilla” occupational centre and psychological support service.

Also, for the second consecutive year, the caring side of the PB Totana took a smile to 140 children with spina bífida in the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the AMUPHEB association, whose president, Carmen Gil, thanked the PB Totana for its support and the delight it gave the children to receive gifts from Barça.

As well as these charity acts, the PB Totana also celebrated its anniversary by taking part in two football competitions.
