Night of goals and celebration in Poblenou

After the FC Barcelona win at the Juegos Mediterraneos, the Penya Barcelonista de Poblenou started celebrating its 52nd anniversary.

The director for the Economic and Strategy Area, Josep Ramón Vidal-Abarca, and Manel Costa, director of the Penyes Commission, were there to enjoy the festivities. In a relaxed atmosphere, Ricard Palau, president of the Penya Barcelonista de Poblenou, and Pere Razzauti, delegate of the Supporters Clubs Advisory Council for Barcelona Oriental, welcomed Vidal-Abarca and Costa just as the second half kicked off. The Barça Veterans Group was represented by Josep Moratalla, who is a firm friend of the club. Assembled in the hall of the Hotel Diagonal Port in Barcelona, the guests were able to enjoy further goals from Bojan and Messi.

Appetizers were accompanied by a giant screen projection of images of last year’s celebration. The party atmosphere never ceased, with both the club’s 52nd anniversary and the eight-goal drubbing dished out by Guardiola’s players giving plenty to smile about. Each table heartily discussed the great performance and the good signs for the future.

As dessert was served, Francesc Cànovas’s short film, so popular at events like these, Chorreo – La Gran Broma del 2-6 was screened. The revisiting of the Bernabéu rout 2009 was just the tonic to raise moods ahead of next week’s encounter with the old rival.
