The Canary Islands opens first skill school

The Peña Barcelonista Nicolás Casaus in Las Palmas last month opened its skills school in association with the FCBEscola.

Thanks to an agreement with the FCBEscola, the penya have begun to start work with their own skills school. These schools can count on the support of the Club’s official school for logistical and human resources.

The Las Palmas supporters club organised a campus last season which was a great success in terms of participation and that has led them to start this latest school. The academy's website is www.fcbescola.cat/grancanaria.

FCBEscola and penyes, two organisations that need to unite

As was explained during the XXXIII Trobada Mundial de Penyes in Donosti, the intention of the club is to encourage collaboration between the supporters clubs and the FCBEscola via the organisation of official campuses. It is thus hoped that clubs will take a more active part in the training of youngsters whilst offering younger club members attractive activities under the umbrella of the FCBEscola.
