Succcessful New Year's tournament in Lloret de Mar

Now in its eighth year, the Penya Barcelonista de Lloret de Mar organised its New Year football tournament.

A total of 21 teams played from January 3 to 5 in the New Year tournament played in the town. FC Barcelona sent teams in the U-12 and U-10 categories. The host club was also joined by U.E. Riudarenes, the Fundació Marcet, C.F. Lloret, the Fundació Calella, C.F. Quatre Vents and C.F. Tordera. There was also international representation in the form of Italian clubs U.S.D. Junior and U.D. Montecarlo.

FC Barcelona won both the U-12 and U-10 tournaments, while the Fundació Marcet took the honours in the U-14 category. Once again, great footballing spirit was the other winner as 2011 was seen in with style.
