Laporta visits Madrid Supporters' Clubs

FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, and other Bar�a directors were present at the IV SC Meeting in Torrej�n de Ardoz, Madrid.

Supporting Bar�a in Madrid is no easy task. That was one of the messages put forward by President Laporta at the Madrid meeting organised by the Torrej�n de Ardoz Supporters’ Club on 10th November.

Also present in representation of the Club were vice-president, Alfons Godall, board member, Jacint Borr�s, Social Commission directors, Xavier Bagu�s and Mart�n Mart�nez and former players, Julio Alberto Moreno and Marcos Alonso. The meeting coincided with Bar�a’s away match against Madrid club Getafe.

Football first

The festival kicked off with a football match between members of the Torrej�n de Ardoz SC, reinforced by Laporta, ex players and other directors, against members Real Madrid, Atl�tico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano SCs. The final score was 3-2 to the members of the supporters’ clubs of the three Madrid clubs.

Town Hall & debate

After the match, the Bar�a party visited the Torrej�n de Ardoz Town Hall where they were received by the deputy mayor and the councillor responsible for sport. After the formalities, a debate was organised on the FC Barcelona football first team. In addition, President Laporta explained the agreement with UNICEF, the jewel in the crown of the Social Area.

Gala Lunch

Some 400 Madrid-based Bar�a supporters attended a gala lunch. Board member Jacint Borr�s chaired the event accompanied by Social Commission directors, Xavier Bagu�s and Mart�n Mart�nez and former players Julio Alberto and Marcos Alonso.

The meeting was a tremendous success in terms of participation and organisation thanks to the efforts and dedication of the president of the Torrej�n de Ardoz SC, and delegate to the Madrid SC Consultative Council, Edmundo Bazo and his governing committee.
