Barça Sorli Discau opened their European League campaign with a comfortable victory over SCRA Saint Omer after easing into an early lead that the hosts never recovered from.

The Blaugrana dominated throughout the 50 minutes, but it was three goals inside the first quarter of an hour that ensured that the would be heading home with the win under their belts.

Strong start

Ferran Pujalte's side made a great start to the encounter and were ahead inside three minutes when Mia Ordeig beat Carles Cantarero in the home goal. The former Barça keeper was beaten again in the seventh minute when Jordi Adroher scored and things went from bad to worse for Saint Omer soon after when Marc Torra scored a third.

With the game sewn up Barça did take their foot off the pedal slightly, but never allowed their hosts to find a way back into the match and added some gloss to the scoreline late on.

In minute 43 Ordeig added his second of the evening and the Blaugrana's fourth and with two minutes remaining Torra netted a fifth to cap a solid display.
