Play offs decided

Cemex Tenerife will be the opponents of FC Barcelona Sorli Discau in the play offs for the title. The Tinerfeños were able to maintain 8th place thanks to a victory over Noia.

There were no surprises in Barça’s match against Viva Habitat Blanes as they secured a 2-5 victory. Quim Pauls’ men with an inspired Carlitos Lopez overcame Blanes with few problems to continue their quest for the title.

First game Wednesday

Before Frank Rijkaard’s team take on Getafe in the Copa del Rey Semi final, Palau Blaugrana will start off the proceedings with the quarter final play offs for the title. Barça take on Tenerife in a best of three; next Saturday will be the second tier in Tenerife. The match will be shown to those at Camp Nou before the game between FC Barcelona and Getafe.

Top Scorer rivalry

Cemex Tenerife have made history. Tenerife were battling it out in the lower reaches of the table, however, with a base of Catalan players vying for the top scorer accolade, the team from Tenerife eventually found a way into the last eight thanks especially to top scorer Miquel Angel Sanchez; author of 35 goals.
