Three years more for Iker Romero

Iker Romero has extended his deal with the Barça handball team until 2012. His contract was due to run out at the end of the 2008-09 season but has now been extended for a further three years. Romero has committed himself to the future of Barça Cifec

FC Barcelona Cifec Technical Secretary, Enric Masip, is delighted with the agreement reached with Romero: “Iker is our star player, the spiritual leader of the group, and we would like him to be with us as long as possible. He’s always shown great commitment”.

Complete satisfaction

Immediately after signing the new deal, Romero expressed his satisfaction at the agreement: “I want to finish my sporting career here. I’m very, very happy. I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. I had two years still to go on my contract but since we started the season we talked about the possibility of making a longer contract that would allow me to finish my sporting career here. The Club has made a big effort and has always treated me fantastically. For all of that, I’m so happy”.
