Barça Cifec continue to win in the second phase (34-32)

FC Barcelona Cific found the going tough and battled out a laboured victory against an Algesires team which had little to lose and a lot to gain. Igor Vori, with 7 goals, was the top scorer for the blaugrana.

Xesco Espar’s team continue to hold their third place in the Liga, which assures them a place in next year’s Champions League. Barça Cific, who continue to be unbeaten in the second phase of the Liga Asobal, dominated the game up until the final stages when they let their comfortable advantage slip to just 2 goals. In the end it finished 34 – 32. The game, however, served to produce goal number 10,000 of the Liga ASOBAL when the score was 21 – 16.

Even until 8-8

Iker comes good at the end

After the break, Barça came out strong and opened up their biggest lead (28-21). However, Algesires worked the flanks well and their ex-blaugrana player, Reig, helped his team close the gap to just 2 goals. In the end, it was Iker Romero who closed out the game by scoring the last two for Barça (34-32).
