Reserves win with character and pride (2-3)

Barça Atlètic has picked up all three points from their away fixture at Ibiza. All the goals in the 2-3 win came in the second half.

In a generally poor first half, one of the few chances fell to Barça Atlètic after just two minutes when Nolito almost scored straight from a corner.

From that point on both teams played cagily and Barça Atlètic found it hard to create opportunities. With just a few minutes to go in the half, Rochina was the subject of a heavy tackle by Sanz and had to be substituted early in the second half by Maric. In stoppage time Nolito tried a long-range effort which home keeper Manu had some trouble gathering.

Five goals in a crazy fifteen minutes

The second half was a completely different kettle of fish. Barça Atlètic’s first goal came in the 58th minute when Botía headed home from Nolito’s corner. Ibiza had no time to react before in the 61st minute and after some great play out on the right, Maric whipped in a centre which Gai promptly steered into the net to make it two nil.

Ibiza got one goal back in the 66th minute with Jonan finding the target, and just three minutes later Pisano made it all square with a fine header.

Barça react with great goal by Longás

Luis Enrique’s men responded well to Ibiza clawing its way back into the game and once again went ahead. Xavi Torres had a good chance but his header was well saved by the local keeper. Then in the 72nd minute came the winner as Longás hit a powerful, swerving shot from outside the box to give the lead back to the Catalans. In the last few minutes of the game Maric, who was impressive throughout his time on the pitch, hit the bar with another long-range strike from outside the penalty area.
