Lakovic to stay another two years

Sònia de Alba

Slovenian guard Jaka Lakovic has extended his contract with FC Barcelona for a further two years.

Regal Barça and Jaka Lakovic have agreed terms to keep Lakovic at the Club for two more seasons on top of the three he has already completed.

The player’s contribution over the past three seasons and his desire to remain in Barcelona have been instrumental in the Club’s decision.

Vision and points

Lakovic to stay another two years
More time than with Panathinaikos
Lakovic signed for Regal Barça after four sensational seasons with Panathinaikos, winning the league four times, the Cup three times but missing out on the Euro league. He moved to the Greek club from Slovenian outfit Novo Mesto, where he played for just one season (2001/02) but he learnt his trade with Slovan Ljubljana. He now looks set to complete five seasons in the colours of Regal Barça.
