Another European Cup

FC Barcelona Sorli Discau won their 17th European roller hockey league title.

In the qualifying round, Barça beat German club ERG with an aggregate score of 13-2. In the group stage Barça came up against Prato, al Barcelos and Roncato Vic. Barça finished top with 5 wins and one defeat.

Following on from an early exit the season before, this season Barça reached the Final Four once again. In the semi-finals, they beat FC Porto 3-2 in an evenly contested game that was decided in extra time by a golden goal from Sergi Panadero.

In the final, Barça faced host club Bassano. The Italians took an early lead but Barça imposed their quality to lead 3-1 at halftime, goals from Panadero, Borregán and Carlos López. Barça clinched the final in the second half with goals from Panadero and David Páez. The Italians pulled one back just before the end for a final score line of 5-2, leaving the 17th European Cup en route for Barcelona.
