UNESCO-FCB-UOC chair
The main aim of UNESCO-FCB-UOC chair about Sport as a tool for social coexistence and the resolution of conflicts is to promote social cohesion and the resolution of conflicts pacifically through sport.
Pioneering initiative in world football
The chair will offer procedures, attitudes and competences for students to be able to analyse
and apply the possibilities for sport being used as an instrument for educational intervention and
the transmission of values in contexts where there is a lack of social coexistence and high
conflict.
It is the first time that FC Barcelona, with the seal of quality of Unesco and UOC, has
established an alliance with an university to promote postgrade studies; an initiative, at the same
time, pioneering the world of soccer and the sport.
