Thematic comissions at work

The series of thematic commission meetings are on their way, formed by delegates of the Supporters Clubs Advisory Council and the directors of the Social and Penyes Commissions. Their aim is that of implementing the project Penyes Segle XXI.

This was the first meeting with the whole comission, held at the club offices on November 23. Therefore, two weeks after the preliminary meetings established the agenda, the Commission on Tickets and Away Matches called this series of meetings to lay the foundations for the organisational and logistic matters of the Penyes Segle XXI project.

Improvements on ticketing procedures
One of the issues of most concern to supporters clubs is, undoubtedly, that of tickets for matches both at home and away. The aim is to establish as logical, fair and effective system for supporters clubs to be able to visit t he Camp Nou as frequently as possible, as well as to be able to go to away games. Assistance with the ticket purchase, collection and payment is one of the Social Area’s priorities.

Different proposals were put forward for games where there is conflict regarding seating allocations. The aim is for tickets to be distributed as fairly as possible, so that all the needs and dimensions of all supporters clubs are satisfied. This is no easy matter, as the system will need to be flexible enough to cope with different sized away stadiums and also potential finals. Another issue for study is that of possible travel plus hotel packages both for home and away games, and also improvements to coach access to Camp Nou once works on Line 9 of the metro is complete.

The other comissions, also start working
Next week, the Campus and Activities Commission and the Supporters Club Identity Commissions will be meeting. Finally, the Registration, Cancellation and Electoral Roll Commission will start work next December 9. The aim is to present a solid project for the forthcoming World Supporters Club Congress.
