Tribute to Rojo

On November 1, Recreativo Nerja Club de Fútbol paid tribute to former FC Barcelona player Juan Carlos Pérez Rojo. Supporters clubs in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla played an active role.

Many of the 1980s Barça team were present, including his former team mates Migueli, Paco Clos, Moratalla, Julio Alberto and Calderé, plus several other former professional footballers. Pau Vilanova, Director in Charge of the Social Commission represented the Club at the event. 

Jose Alberto Armijo, Mayor of Nerja, welcomed everybody, and Pau Vilanova and Antonio Bravo, President of Recreativo Nerja also described in their speeches the man who was named second best player at the 1979 World Youth Cup, after Diego Maradona.
