Last was a weekend of joy for Vallès Oriental. Ten years of the Penya Blaugrana Vilanova del Vallès was worth the celebration, and 150 penyistes gathered at the Mont-Bell restaurant in Vallromanes. Among them, sports vicepresident of FC Barcelona Josep Maria Bartomeu who attended not only as Barça representative but also as a member of the supporters’ club. Bartomeu has special bonds with this penya, since he is a local of Vilanova del Vallès. Former FC Barcelona player Pep Moratalla did not want to miss the occasion, who encouraged the supporters’ club to keep growing like they have until nowadays.

A supporters’ club with renewed energy

This penya has nowadays 240 members, twice as many as last year. The new board, lead by its president Jaume Folch, got to reactivate the activities of a supporters’ club that has gone through some difficulties.
