19 European Titles!

Barça Sorli Discau are again Kings of Europe after taking the sections’ 19th European Cup this afternoon. After two years without winning the competition, Barca have again added to their spectacular list of titles.

After losing out to Reus on penalties in the quarter finals of last year’s Final Eight, Barca were unable to defend the title they’d won the previous year in Barcelona, but the return to the Final Six format this season saw Barca take their eighth title in the last 12 years.

Change in format no barrier

Brac have dominated the competition for over a decade, despite all the changes in format that have been made – with this year’s unpopular Final Six to nobody’s taste. Although they drew 4-4 with Porto in the first game of this year’s Final Six, they held onto their nerve to beat Valadagno and get to the final against fellow Catalans Vic.
