The Palau Blaugrana will be the venue for the fifth and final game of the OK League final series after Barça Sorli Discau levelled affairs by beating Alnimar Reus Deportiu 3- 4. Borregán scored a golden goal in the first period of overtime.

Quim Paüls team left ‘La Bombonera' in despair after a winning performance to level the series with Reus. But the home side gave plenty of work to Barça keeper Egurrola. Carlitos López and Alberto Borregán were Barça’s best players, scoring twice each, and Barça regain home court advantage as they seek to bounce back an retain the OK Liga title.

Great first half

Reus and Barça Sorli Discau both played well ordered attacking hockey early on, with Barça enjoyed the lion’s share of the possession as they tried to provoke errors in the home defence. Borregán opened the scoring after passing behind Trabal’s goal and surprising him with a deft flick. Manel Barceló’s responded strongly, but failed to gain any coherent control of the game.

Negro Páez, a former Barça player, led to Reus reaction by laying on their first goal for Marc Gual to convert in the 16th minute. Carlitos López put Barça back ahead, the Argentinian by following the home defence with a cunning free hit that found the back of the net. But that was not the end of it, for the following three minutes were packed with tension. Negro Paéz was rewarded for his first half efforts, when a penalty was blown against him although it looked like the incident had occurred outside. Páez converted as the half was about to end.

Reus bite back

Reus pulled out all the stops after the break and created some great chances as a fascinating duel emerged between Jordi García and Carlitos López. It was a tense period, but Carlitos López restored hope with the third Barça Sorli Discau goal fourteen minutes into the second half. Manel Barceló started created less danger and Barça found further chances to stretch their lead, with Borregán seemingly scoring with four minutes to go, but the umpires had spotted an earlier infringement.

It looked like it was all over, but Jordi García grabbed an equaliser with just over two minutes left to play, and the game went into overtime.

Borregán gets the winner

Alberto Borregán scored the goal that ties the series on 2 wins each. Carlitos López stole the ball to set up a counter, before slipping the ball majestically through to Borregán who beat Trabal to make it 3-4 and so it will all start again at the Palau Blaugrana on Tuesday at 21.00 in the fifth and final match.
