Barça Atlètic taste rare defeat (3-2)

www.fcbarcelona.cat

Barça Atlètic saw the three points escape them after Atlétic Balears came from a goal down to win the game on Sunday and end the Blaugrana's impressive unbeaten run.

Luis Enrique's side were looking for another morale-boosting performance in the Estadio Balear and while the game was an exiting one, the coach will not have been happy with the outcome.

Pedro brace

Pedro stood out for the visitors and he equalised in the eleventh minute after Lucas had put the hosts ahead just four minutes into the game. Jeffren broke away and set up the goal and Barça were in the ascendancy. A second goal was always on the cards and when it came it was Pedro again that found the net as he scored on 34 minutes.

A second half to forget

After the break, however, Barça did appear to relax and that allowed their hosts to make a come back. Pedro could have completed his hat-trick at one end but instead Atlètic Balears were awarded a penalty and Rodri scored from the rebound to level matters after Miño had saved his spot kick.

That goal then lifted the home team and they applied pressure to the Blaugrana area which told in the 72nd minute when Aaron's shot beat the keeper. That goal was enough to give the team that was bottom of Group III of la Segunda B and Barça's woes were compounded when Nolito was dismissed before the end.
