Bartra left with bittersweet sensation

www.fcbarcelona.cat

Marc bartra had conflicting emotions after FC Barcelona won one and lost one game in the Copa Catalunya triangular final on Wednesday evening as he was pleased with his goal, but wanted the trophy.

In the defeat against his former club Espanyol the defender scored. "I am disappointed by the defeat and a bit happy with my goal and also because the team gave everything until the end," he explained. "They came out at us and scored two goals in quick succession and we did not have that success in the area."

Defensive security

Joan Verdú scored twice for Espanyol against his ex-club, but it Bartra was still pleased with his effort. "I take the chances with pride and desire because I have dreamt about it since I was young. A strong defensive display is also important though because that is fundamental to transmitting security within the team."

Below is what some of the other players had to say:

"We really wanted to win the Copa Catalunya. But we were unable to."

"Maybe with 45 minutes more we would have had the chances."

"I want to congratulate Espanyol."

Jonathan dos Santos

"Barça are ready for all kinds of matches."

"We always give 100 per cent."

"We played well in the two games and it is a pity we could not win."
