Training schedule for the week

Barça will be back in league action this weekend after the international break. Over the next few days, the players will gradually return to prepare for the first home game of the season against Hercules.


The first team squad will return to training on 10 am on Tuesday after a four-day break. However, Guardiola will be without the international players who have matches on Tuesday and are due to report back to the Club on Wednesday. After Tuesday’s session, Maxwell will address a press conference.

Two afternoon sessions

2010-08-11_ENTRENO_25.JPGOn Wednesday and Thursday, training will take place at 7 o’clock in the afternoon. Number 2 goalkeeper, José Manuel Pinto, will give a press conference before training on Wednesday while on Thursday it will be the turn of Xavi Hernandez.

Preparing for Hercules

2010-09-02_ENTRENO_10.JPGThe squad will then have two more sessions to prepare the match against Hercules. The session on Friday will start at 10 am and afterwards Josep Guardiola will speak to reporters.

Finally, at 11 am on Saturday, the players will have a final session in the Camp Nou after which they’ll have lunch together and return home. Kick-off is at 6 pm.

Straight to the Champions League
The players will report to the Club’s training grounds on Sunday morning at 10 o’clock to prepare Tuesday’s Champions League debut against Panathinaikos. The official UEFA training sessions and press conferences will take place on Monday. Barça will train at 6 pm before going to a hotel, as is customary before European matches.
