Training with Barca B

With the internationals away with their national teams, Pep Guardiola joined his seven available first team players, including latest signing Javier Mascherano, with the B team for training this morning.

The seven players joined 25 from the B team squad on Pitch Number 2 of the Ciutat Esportiva this morning, as new signing Javier Mascherano got his first taste of Guardiola’s training methods before he too flies off to join his national team this afternoon.

Alves

The other six first team squad members at Guardiola’s disposition were Pinto, Abidal, Maxwell, Adriano, Keita and Alves, who will join up with Brazil on September 2nd and came along to training today despite being given the day off.

Mini Estadi debut

Although the focus for the first team squad members is primarily physical, as they work to maintain fitness during the international break, Luis Enrique’s youngsters are preparing for their home debut in the Mini Estadi. After the weekend’s win in Vigo, Barca B entertain recently relegated Xerez at the stadium this Sunday at 21.00.
