Puyol to undergo op on Wednesday

Carles Puyol will be operated on at 14.00 on Wednesday, June 1st at the Clínica Quirón to resolve the problems he’s been suffering with his left knee.
Following the operation, Doctors Ricard Pruna and Ramon Cugat will speak to the media at the Ricard
Maxenchs Press Room at the Camp Nou.
The Club captain was nearly three months out injured with tendon trouble in his left knee after he was taken off on January 22nd against Racing at the Camp Nou and didn’t return until his inclusion in the squad for the League game at the Bernabeu on April 15th.
Since the game against Madrid, Puyol has been used sparingly by Guardiola –he took part in both the Champions League semi-finals, but only came on for the final three minutes against United at Wembley.
