Training without Bojan, but Pinto back

Josep Guardiola has started preparing for the cup semi final against Almeria without Bojan, who has a stomach bug, but Pinto, who had the same problem, was back.


Barça have three sessions before their big cup semi final first leg on Wednesday (22.00) against Almeria at the Camp Nou.

2011-01-24_ENTRENO_31.JPGToday there were 18 members of the first team on pitch number one at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The main absentee was Bojan Krkic, who has a stomach bug and was told by the club doctors to go home and get some rest. But José Manuel Pinto, who missed Saturday’s game against Racing (3-0) was back, after having stomach trouble himself, but now he is feeling fine.

Alves partly involved

The players involved included Dani Alves, who is recovering from a muscle injury , but on Monday he was able to do some of the same exercises as his colleagues.

Jeffren and Puyol recovering

Meanwhile, Jeffren is recovering from a left thigh injury and Puyol has problems with his left knee , and the pair are still doing recovery exercises.

Nine B team players

Next session on Tuesday
Josep Guardiola has called the players back for training on Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva at 11.00 behind closed doors, after which the coach will be giving a press conference.
