Jeffren: "Let’s hope I can keep this up"

With three goals already this preseason, Jeffren is the team’s joint top goal scorer with his friend Pedro.


Against the Seattle Sounders the commitment and effort of Barça’s young academy players was once again on show. Messi grabbed a brace and Jeffren and Pedro picked up one each. They have now scored in three games on the spin to become the leading goal scorers in the team.

Good run

After the game Jeffren said he was delighted to have scored and hopes to “keep it up” in upcoming games. He is also great friends with Pedro, so is pleased the latter has scored as well.

The future

There has been speculation that Jeffren might go out on loan, and he says his future is in Guardiola’s hands. “I’m trying to make the most of the game time I get to have the chance to stay,” he said. “I’m not happy with my game because there are still some things not going right."

Last training session in Seattle
Barça leave Seattle on Thursday afternoon local time for San Francisco. Before that Josep Guardiola’s men will have a training session which will be followed by a press conference featuring Pedro.
