Training resumes on Tuesday

The senior squad will return to training at 11 am on Tuesday after a three-day break. However, many players will still be absent on international duty.


On Tuesday morning the senior squad will begin their preparations for Saturday’s league match away to Athletic Club Bilbao (kick-off 10 pm). This match will be the beginning of a tough month including vital league, European and World Club Cup action.

Messi returns

2009-08-22_MESSI_02.jpgWith the bulk of the international players not due back in Barcelona until Thursday, the first session of the week will be sparsely attended. However, one player who will be available on Tuesday is Leo Messi, who took part in Argentina’s 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Vicente Calderón on Saturday.

Training match on Wednesday

A training match has also been arranged against Bolívar FC (who are in Barcelona at the moment for a training camp) for 11 am on Wednesday. The match will be played at the Club’s training grounds.

Internationals return

2009-11-12_ENTRENO_14.JPGThe last international matches of the week will be played on Wednesday. Guardiola has decided to postpone Thursday training until 6 pm in order to give the returning players the best chance of arriving in time for the session.

Final training session

The final training session of the week will be on Friday at 11 am. This will be followed by a press conference with Josep Guardiola.

The squad will travel to Bilbao on Saturday morning at 10.30.
Training resumes on Tuesday
The beginning of a decisive week
The players will train on Sunday at 12.30, just hours after the Bilbao game. Then on Tuesday Barça will host Inter Milan in the Camp Nou followed by Real Madrid on Sunday.
