The Barca players and ex teammates Xavi and Puyol, as well as his international teammate Ibrahimovic all sent messages of support to Henrik Larsson as he played his final game on Wednesday night.

The messages from the three Barca players were sent to the Helsinborg-Djurgardensz game which marked the end of the 38-year-old's 21 year career in top flight football.

You really helped me a lot at the start of my career and I've loved playing alongside you. It's sad that you are leaving the game, but we all know that that is a decision we have to take sooner or later. Life goes on though and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do in the future. All the best to you”.

Carles Puyol recalled Larsson's time at the club and sent the following message: “Henrik. I only want to say what an honour it was to play alongside you. Good luck with whatever you do outside of the game from now on Good luck and remember that Barcelona is just like home for you”.

Larsson was naturally moved by all the messages of support he received and commented: “I don't normally show my emotions, but this is just incredible!”
