Six more players for Guardiola

Barça’s international stars are gradually returning to training. On Wednesday it was the turn of Márquez, Puyol, Keita, Alves, Touré and Xavi.


In the second training session of the week (Wednesday morning) 11 am) Josep Guardiola was able to work with six more members of the first team squad.

Different motives

2009-10-14_ENTRENO_16.JPGThe session included the reduced group of players that trained last week (Valdés, Pinto, Bojan, Pedro, Maxwell and Jeffren, plus from Tuesday, Chygrynskiy) together with the internationals Dani Alves, Márquez, Puyol (all suspended), Keita (whose Mali team are now mathematically out of contention for South Africa), Touré (already qualified with Ivory Coast) and Xavi (knee).

Xavi combined individual and group training. The final 15 minutes of the session were then opened to the press.

Barça Atlètic

In line with the last few sessions, training today included three players from the reserves - Ilie, Luque and Jonathan Dos Santos.

Next session Thursday 6 pm
The next session for the senior squad is on Thursday at6 pm and Josep Guardiola should have most of his players back by then.
