Márquez flying back to Barcelona

www.fcbarcelona.cat

Barça defender Rafa Márquez is leaving the Mexico squad to return to Barcelona. He will miss his country’s match against Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday due to suspension.

Rafa Márquez picked up a yellow card in the second half of Mexico’s 4-1 home win against El Salvador and is, therefore, not available for Wednesday’s game against Trinidad and Tobago. However, with Mexico now through to the final stage next summer, Rafa will be coming back to Barcelona on a high.

Puyol and Xavi

He will join Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández, who are already back home after leaving the Spain camp. The Spanish FA announced after Saturday’s away win over Armenia that Xavi (right knee) and Puyol (suspension) would not take part in Wednesday match against Bosnia and could return to Barcelona.
