Josep Guardiola has confirmed that Thierry Henry will miss the match against Dynamo Kiev. A hamstring problem will keep him on the sidelines for six or seven days. Meanwhile, reserve team hopeful Gai comes into the squad.
Guardiola will have to put together a forward line without Henry, Bojan and, possibly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is still carrying an ankle knock. However, the squad can count on plenty of attack minded players such as Pedro, Jeffren, Messi, Iniesta and Gai.
Gai and Espasandín
The young Israeli star joined Monday afternoon’s training session
along with Barça Atlètic team-mate, Victor Espasandín. The session lasted about an hour and was
open to the media. Espasandín has not been included in the squad.
The squad
The 18-man squad to play Dynamo Kiev: Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Abidal, Maxwell, Puyol, Piqué, Márquez, Touré, Xavi, Keita, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi, Pedro, Ibrahimovic, Jeffren and Gai.
Hotel La Florida
After training, the players were taken to the Hotel La Florida where they will spend the night
before training again at 11.30 am.
