Camp Nou gives new signings thumbs up

Jordi Clos / Roger Bogunyà

Barca's three summer signings coincided on the pitch for the 1st time against Atletico and all three put in fine performances in front of their fans with Ibrahimovic scoring, Chygrynskiy impressing with his defending and Maxwell looking solid.

Three out of three for Ibra

2009-09-19_FCB_-_ATLETICO_DE_MADRID_001.JPGZlatan Ibrahimovic was again on target making it three goals from three games in the league so far with a wonderfully taken goal after just 2 minutes, though he insisted: “I'm happy with the goal, but the most important thing is winning” going on to explain that he is feeling stronger and more confident with every game he plays with his still new teammates.

Chygrynskiy impresses Nou Camp fans

The Ukranian defender looked good on his debut in Getafe and he confirmed those impressions at the Nou Camp on Saturday with some classy defending and brilliant passing. Chygrynsky was the player who won most tackles(10) and also completed 49 of his 51 intended passes. On the debit side, there was also time for him to pick up his first yellow with the team, after a tug on Aguero's shirt in the second half.

Maxwell happy to get 90 minutes

Maxwell finished his first league game of the season, after debuting at the Nou Camp in the 3-0 Super Cup win over Bilbao and starting the first league game against Spotring, before coming off with an injury. The Brazilian put in a solid performance at the back and clearly enjoyed himself: “we put in a spectacular first half . For me it was important to play and get back into the swing of things - playing with this team is easy!”
