Dmytro Chygrynskiy has sign a five-year contract with FC Barcelona after the club agreed a €25million fee with Shakhtar Donetsk. The central defender’s deal will include a buy-out clause worth €100million.

Barça and Chygrynskiy sealed the deal on Monday morning as the player inked his stay at the club until 2014. After undergoing the last part of his medical, the Ukrainian international travelled to the club’s offices and officially became a Blaugrana player as he signed the contract alongside president Joan Laporta.

Accompanied by his brother Victor, who is also his agent, Chygrynskiy met Laporta, who was joined by sporting vice-president Rafael Yuste, technical secretary Txiki Begiristain and director of football Raül Sanllehi.
