Dmytro Chygrynsky arrived at the club offices this lunchtime after a flight from Nice and the first thing he did was have his photo taken alongside the club’s coat of arms.

Chygrynsky, accompanied by his agent, his brother and club officials arrived at Barcelona airport at about 11.30.

Warm welcome

The fans gave him a warm welcome and took the opportunity to pose with him dressed in a Barca scarf and a first team shirt.

Photos outside club offices

Looking relaxed and dressed in jeans and a blue shirt, Chygrynsky also posed for the local media and was warmly received by fans who’d come to the club to welcome him.

“I feel lucky to sign for Barca”

Speaking exclusively to Barca TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat, Chygrynsky said: “I feel lucky to sign for Barca. I’m hoping to improve and form a part of this great team”.

Guardiola
Chygrynsky also explained that he’d spoken with Guardiola on Friday in Monaco: “we exchanged a few words after the game and he told me he wanted me to start as soon as possible”. The Ukrainian also thanked the club for the efforts they’ve made to sign him: “it wasn’t easy to find a way out of the situation, because Shaktar thought they would be involved in the Champions League. What’s more they’ve just opened a new stadium and the President wanted me to stay”.
