Touré: ”Zlatan can help us a lot”

Touré is convenced that if Ibrahimovic does finally join Barca, he will be an important member of the team. The Ivory Coast midfielder stresses Ibrahimovic’s “height and quality”.

In the game against Spurs Touré showed he was back to the same level he showed at the end of last season, setting up Bojan’s goal after a surge from the back, something he claims: “is nothing new for me, I did that a few times last season and also at Monaco”

BARCELONA-TOTTENHAM_01.jpgTouré is a natural midfielder, though Guardiola was forced into using him as a centre back at the end of last year and he is more than prepared to play wherever the team needs him: “I’m a team player who looks to bring the most advantage to our collective rather than my individual performance”.

Inevitably, Touré was asked about the arrival of Ibrahimovic and the African stressed that the Swede is. “a tall and technically skillful striker and his qualities can help us a lot”.

Confidence in the youngsters

Touré was not surprised at the performances of the youngsters on Friday night, claiming: “they did very well against tough opponents”.
