Overmars: “Barça is now more stable”

Miriam Nadal

The ex-Barça player is on holiday in Barcelona and thinks that one of the key factors about the current side is the club’s internal stability.

Marc Overmars, ex-Barça striker, called in this Monday lunchtime at Camp Nou with his family.

They have very good players and the club is also peaceful on the inside. By contrast, when I was here we had six managers in four seasons and there was no stability. It’s better now.”

Overmars is in Barcelona for a few days on holiday and is visiting the city and the club with his children to “show them and remind them of my time at Barça”.

Happy in Holland
Overmars played for Barcelona for four seasons (2000-2004), but injuries spelt the end of his time at the Catalan outfit. He then signed for his first club, the Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch Second Division, where he has also helped out on the coaching side.
