Barça lok to equal away day record

Jesús Carrillo

FC Barcelona are one game away from equalling the incredible record of away wins that was set last season as they can make it 13 triumphs when they take on Sevilla in the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Saturday.

One short

2009-12-02_PARTIDO_28.JPGIn the current campaign the Blaugrana have also done very well away from Camp Nou and recorded wins at Getafe (0-2), Racing (1-4), Málaga (0-2), Deportivo (1-3), Xerez (0-2), Tenerife (0-5), Valladolid (0-3), Sporting (0-1), Zaragoza (2-4), Mallorca (0-1), Real Madrid (0-2) and Villarreal (1-4). With those 12 wins the team are now just one away from the same figure of 13 recorded a year ago-

Barça this term could finish with a better record on their travels as they already have 41 points while last season they finished with 42. An extra there points would see them break the record of away points garnered in a campaign since the la Primera became a 20-team division.

Recent record

2010-01-13_PARTIDO_11.JPGThe previous best tallies of wins on the road have come in recent seasons. In 2004/05 the Blaugrana won 11 matches on the road under Frank Rijkaard and managed another ten the following season while 11 was also the tally when Sir Bobby Robson was in charge at Camp Nou during the 1996/97 term.
