Players confident of turning tie around

Speaking just after Tuesday evening’s defeat in Milan, the players assured reporters that they would overturn the deficit in the Camp Nou.

To add some weight to their words, Sergio Busquets referred back to some recent goal feasts in the Camp Nou: “The lads are confident this score line can be turned around in front of our own fans”. Piqué was even more convinced: “Two goals aren’t enough to say that we’re out” while Pedro underlined that they mustn’t fail in the remaining 90 minutes.

Here is a selection of the players’ post match comments:

Pedro:

"It’s a pity they got those two goals at the end. They make the return leg difficult”.

"We lacked rhythm and the referee made mistakes, but we hope we can win the tie”.

"The second leg will be tough and we’ll have to be really focussed so as not to fail”.
