FC Barcelona will play Arsenal in the quarter finals of the Champions League and could then face the winner of the tie between Inter and CSKA Moscow in the semi finals.

The draw in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday paired the Blaugrana with the English side, with pep Guardiola's side having home advantage as the first leg will be played at Camp Nou.

Barça are the only representatives from La Primera and will take on Arséne Wenger's Gunners' team in a repeat of the historic 2006 in Paris.

On March 31 Guardiola takes his team to London for the first leg of the tie against Arsenal while the teams will meet again on April 6 in Camp Nou in the second game.

As well as the two-legged encounter with Arsenal, Barça also take on Athletic Club de Bilbao on April 4 and then meet Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu on April 10.

Other quarters

On the other side of the draw Olympique Lyonnais were paired with fellow French side Girondins Bordeaux while Manchester United meet Bayern Munich in a re-run of the 1999 final in Camp Nou. The winners of those two ties will meet in the semi finals.

The draw in Nyon was attended by Barça vice-presidents Rafael Yuste and Albert Perrin, technical secretary Txiki Begiristani and director of football Raül Sanllehí.
