Other stories from the game

Roger Bogunyà

Everybody knows that Barça lost their 1st game of the Liga season at the Calderón. Their lead has been narrowed to two points, Bartra made his debut, Ibrahimovic found the net again and Keita was injured. But here are some things you may not know…

- It was the first time that Barça went behind in a league game.

- The defeat ends the excellent runs for Puyol and Iniesta. The captain had not lost an official game in 41 outings, and the midfielder had not lost a League game in 44.

- Jeffren played at right back for the second time this season. The first time was in the cup tie against Leon, where he was also booked in the first half.

2010-02-14_PAR_04.JPG- Diego Forlán is Víctor Valdés’ nemesis. The Uruguayan is the player who has scored the most League goals against the FCB stopper. He has now scored two for Vila-real and three for Atlético Madrid against Valdés.

- The three defeats this season have the unusual common factor in that all of them were 2-1 losses, the others being against Rubin Kazan (Champions League) and Sevilla (Cup), and in all of them it was Ibrahimovic who scored the solitary Barça goal.

- Sergio Busquets will miss the game with Racing after seeing his fifth yellow card of the season at the Calderón.

2010-02-14_PAR_23.JPG- Barça had only leaked one goal in 2010, but at the Calderón they conceded two more.

- For the third game in a row, Henry was not involved at all.

- Busquets and Xavi were the most active players against Atlético Madrid. The former was involved in 106 actions and the latter in 103, although Xavi was on the pitch for a quarter of an hour less than Busquets.

- Ibrahimovic and Messi brought the most out of De Gea. Both shot six times, while Pedro only shot once.
