Touré Yaya: “Every player has quality”

Touré Yaya has stated that he is happy at FC Barcelona and believes that whoever plays in the team will do a great job due to the high level of individual ability available to coach Pep Guardiola.

The Ivory Coast midfielder believes that the 0-5 win in Basel on Wednesday night was proof of the quality at the club. “The team played very well and we performed excellently,” he told reporters. “The pitch may have been a bit heavy and I felt a bit of cramp, but nothing serious.”

Busy schedule

With such a busy schedule, Touré is keen for Barça to maintain their current form, although he admits that it will be difficult to play very well in every match. “The only worry is that we are playing every three or four days and that is not an easy situation,” he explained.

At the same time though, the midfield believe that coach Pep Guardiola will use his entire squad to great effect. “The trainer is working hard and wants everyone to play,” he continued. “We all have a lot of quality and a high level.”

Happy at Barça

Asked about his personal situation at the club, after some rumours in the media about his possible departure, Touré sought dismiss the stories and put an end to the reports. “I am very happy here and so is my family,” he said. “I am calm and am enjoying playing for this great club. To play for this team is great and I want to help the side to win a trophy this season.”
