Xavi and Cáceres in for Basle

Xavi and Martín Cáceres are in the squad announced this Monday by Pep Guardiola for Wednesday’s Champions League game at Basle.

The Barça manager has called up 19 players for the trip to Basle where on Wednesday the team plays its third CL group stage game. The squad that travelled to Bilbao has been joined by Xavi Hernández, who this Monday was declared fit by club doctors after hamstring problems, and Martín Cáceres, who wasn’t called up for Sunday’s game.

Both Márquez and Touré, who picked up niggles at San Mamés, were declared fit today after a series of medical tests.

Missing in Basle will be Keita, who will be out for a fortnight, and Jorquera, who has been left out by Guardiola. Keita thus joins the injury list of Gudjohnsen, Pedro and Milito.
