All about the Saint Andrews trip

Roger Bogunyà

This Monday the FC Barcelona first team will be heading off to Saint Andrews for the second year in a row to continue their preseason build up. They will have two matches and daily double training sessions in Scotland.

At 9.15 am on Monday and after a gentle session at La Masía, the first team expedition will leave the Camp Nou for El Prat airport. There they will catch a flight to Edinburgh where they will arrive at 12.30 pm local time.

Double sessions

First game Thursday

On Thursday there will only be training in the morning as that evening Guardiola’s men will be taking on Hibernian (19.45 local time, live on Barça TV and BTV Online) in their first preseason match at Murrayfield, Edinburgh.

Saturday against Dundee United

After the game the team will fly straight back to Barcelona, arriving at around 00.30.

Reception from the Scottish First Minister
After training on Thursday an FC Barcelona delegation will be received in the early afternoon by Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond at Bute House, his official residence. A year ago the First Minister travelled to Saint Andrews where he watched a training session and met the players.
