A busy day

After announcing that he is leaving Sevilla, Dani Alves has moved to Barcelona, where he has taken his medical examination before officially becoming a member of the Barça first team.


With tears in his eyes, and at an emotional press conference, the Brazilian player announced to his now former club, Sevilla, that he is leaving after six years. Dani Alves then flew to Barcelona, where he had to take a medical test before officially putting himself at the orders of first team manager Pep Guardiola.

prensa_02.jpgThe right back landed at El Prat Airport at 16:30, and was taken directly too Hotel Princesa Sofía to speak to Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat. Dani Alves was then transferred to the club, where he posed for pictures in front of the FC Barcelona crest.

QM3D3145.jpgThe next stop on an intense day for Dani Alves was Hospital de Barcelona, where he had to take a series of medical tests. The Brazilian then completed the tests at the FC Barcelona Medical centre at the Camp Nou.

Presentation on Wednesday
Dani Alves is due to be presented as a new Barça player on Wednesday at 12:30 in Sala París on the club grounds. That makes the Brazilian the fourth new member of the Barça squad for the 2008/2009 season after Keita, Piqué and Martín Cáceres.
